MoTown Christmas Eve

Pop surprised the family with tickets to "Dancing in the Streets' Christmas Special." It was a lot of fun. The M.C. for the show, Ray Shell, was the original Rusty from Starlight Express (my favorite musical. sorry theatre people, I like ALW). It was exciting to hear him belt out songs I love. Also the guy who sang Simba in the theatrical version of Lion King sang the Marvin Gaye songs. It was a lot of fun, and everyone got up and danced... even the elder british couple that shushed the family in front of them. After that we came back and chilled. We watched Sahara. Right before bedtime, Pop could stand it no longer... he broke out the cake he'd stashed away.
It was a nice quiet evening of frantic wrapping with the family.
